This is a first for me, blogging rehearsal dinner photos. I don’t typically attend rehearsals, but Kaitlyn and Zane had me come up to Traverse City for the whole weekend and it was wonderful being around all their friends and family. They were married on a small beach so they had the rehearsal there, then it was just a short walk to Zane’s grandparent’s house where they had the rehearsal dinner under a tent in their yard. It was so fun, beautiful, and delicious that I decided it was worthy of its own post.
Their wedding is coming up next.

I’m really glad many couples are adding my photobooth to their wedding. Here’s a handful from Sarah and Jared’s June wedding. I think it’s pretty obvious they are a ton of fun, and I’m not even showing a lot of the real crazy ones which are getting closer to R-rated. Make sure you get to the bottom, I saved the best for last 😉

Katie and Jon were married in Dearborn, just down the street from the Henry Ford Museum at St. Joseph’s, and had their beautiful reception at The Henry’s Greenfield Village.

Yesterday Sophie and Vinnie got married and I just wanted to share this one frame (though there is more on my Facebook page). The girls were getting ready at the beautiful The Henry hotel, and Vinnie stopped by to drop off some champagne for later. That’s Vinnie on the phone, and that’s Sophie in front going to put the champagne in the fridge. I just love the way he’s looking at the woman he’s hours from marrying. This to me is the power of the photograph: the ability to freeze a moment and an emotion that no one else even noticed and make it a part of history.

Christina and Jake had a wonderful May wedding in Grosse Pointe at the First English Evangelical Lutheran Church (say that 10 times fast!), then we took some photos at the beautiful Ford House, before heading on to the reception in Southfield at the Silver Garden Events Center. It was a great day all around, but if I had to pick one thing that struck me most, it would be the overwhelming love and support of two great families.
