Kori and Adam were married yesterday on Sugar Island near Sault Ste. Marie. I’m still up north so their preview on Facebook will be a few days late. This photo is from Friday night, and that’s Canada in the background.

2010 was a great year. As I began to put together a summary post the number of photos I wanted to include skipped quickly from the dozens to the hundreds, so I am splitting this into two posts and have narrowed down my initial selection significantly. I’m resisting the urges to go through my archives again, tell a story with each photo, or spend too much time deciding in what order they should go. All my favorite candid moments will be posted in a few days. So, without further adieu, these are some of my favorite wedding and engagement portraits of 2010:

This is Sara and Steven. We met to have lunch and catch up while it was pouring rain, but by the time we left it had turned into the warmest and most beautiful December day Lansing has ever seen. I have good luck. Or maybe it was them.

This was actually a two-part engagement session. The first day it was dumping snow, so we just took a few quick photos, had a snowball fight, then went and warmed up with some coffee. Then two days later we got a beautiful day to shoot a bit more, even if it was still below freezing.
