What is Dad thinking? Feb 25
I commonly think and wonder what’s going through a bride’s head as she walks down the aisle, but as I was looking at this image I sat and wondered for the first time what Dad is thinking. What a crazy feeling to “give” your daughter away…
One of the (few) benefits to Michigan winters and the small number of weddings is that I get some availability to shoot weddings with other photographers. This frame is from a great wedding in Grand Rapids that I second shot with my friend Melissa.

This Dad seems pretty proud to me. You really grabbed the emotion of this moment here. I’m sure the feeling of giving your kids away is something you have to experience to know. Mine are only 3 and 8, but I’m sure our time will come quickly.
