Lisa and Ian Engagement Photos
We started off at one of my very favorite places in Michigan, Founders Brewing Company in Grand Rapids, then on to Grand Haven and Lake Michigan.

Then drove out to Grand Haven for some photos.

Had a little fun with this red brick wall.

They’re good friends, so I decided to hop in a photo with them.

We walked to a park on our way to the beach.

Spider!

Then down to the Lake Michigan beach at sunset.
Attack!

Got a little Captain in ya?

Before calling it a night we decided to have a little fun with some light-painting.

I’m way excited for their wedding at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing this coming March!

Brett… I’m totally fascinated by your wedding photography. I think you’ve got some great business ideas (especially with the internet interactivity, the quick-turnaround, the digital distribution) plus a brilliant eye for the art/science of photography (the last shot here is a particularly great example of this). I’ve got a friend here in Amsterdammer who I’ve referred to your site, for inspiration as he’s considering embarking on a similar business endeavor. But I just enjoy keeping up with your photography for my own entertainment and inspiration. All the best in your continued business development…

Thanks Eric! If you have anyone in your church getting married with the budget for flying a photographer across the Atlantic, I’d love to come visit Amsterdam again!! (wishful thinking? probably.)
