Just bought mine recently and after a couple of shoots very happy with it!
What kind of filter have you screwed on there?

The filter is a 3 stop ND filter so I can use off-camera flash with large aperture in bright light. It will also be useful for shooting large aperture video when I get a 5D Mark II.
